About The Role

Location: Castle Donington, East Midlands / Flexible working

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Bonus Scheme (dependent on skills and experience)

Contract Type: Full time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week

At Elton Ecology Ltd, we are a leading ecology & arboriculture consultancy dedicated to providing expert environmental solutions to planners, developers, councils and NGOs across England. Our mission is to support sustainable development by delivering high-quality ecological assessments and environmental consultancy services. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Arboricultural Consultant to help drive our offering forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver BS5837 surveys and consultancy work for planning.
• Collaborate with the ecology team providing Arboricultural survey data for Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the Arboricultural team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Level 3 or higher qualification in Arboriculture.
• Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience.
• Knowledge of applicable legislation and best practice guidelines in England, including British standard BS5837: Trees in Relation to Design Demolition and Construction – Recommendations.
• Membership of appropriate professional body or willingness to apply. Ideally holding Technical (or higher) membership with the Arboricultural Association.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
